Normally in soccer, kick-offs are used to start the game, half or overtime, and after a goal is scored to put the ball in play.

George Washington senior Koby Osei-Wusu used one of Tuesday’s first half kick-offs as the perfect opportunity to score his first career goal.

In the 44th minute following a North Carolina tally from Alan Winn, the Colonials put the ball back in play when Osei-Wusu notcied the Tar Heel goalkeeper slightly out of position. Alertly, he wound up and kicked the ball from the half-way line that somehow barely snuck underneath the crossbar.

Take a look at Osei-Wusu’s goal, which will defnitely go down as one of the most bizzare plays from the 2017 season.

Here’s what Osei-Wusu had to say about his goal after the game. He begins talking at the 1:05 mark:

Despite the 4-1 loss to No. 7 UNC, Osei-Wusu’s goal will be one that he and the rest of the Colonials remember for a long time.
