Now, she has two goals.

The goal came at the 65:36 mark, coming off the perfectly place corner kick from Hilerie Schatzle, who also scored the game’s opening goal. Saginaw Valley State came back with another goal, but Rogers exciting header into net proved to be the game-winner, the first of her young career.

The win gives Ferris State three in a row. The Bulldogs are a perfect 2-0-0, tied atop the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings in first place. That makes this weekend’s showdown with No. 7 Grand Valley State all the more exciting. The victor of this GLIAC battle will stand alone in first place in the GLIAC.
