Just as they did in Tuesday’s first round, Huntingdon College came out the leader after day two at the DIII Men’s Golf Championships. The team was able to put together a score of 291, two strokes better than yesterday’s performance.
Wittenberg University won the round, however, shooting a tournament-best 290. It jumped into second place, just four strokes off the lead.
The top five saw a new look as Wittenberg, Guilford, and Greensboro had big days. UT Tyler, who ended round one tied for second rounded out the top five.
Huntingdon’s Addison Lambeth shot even on the day, remaining in front of the pack with an individual-best 3-under. Josh Hill of Guilford and Cameron Willis of Wittenberg are tied in second with a score of 1-under. Willis’ teammate Garrett Brickley won the day with a round two-best 2-under.
Play resumes Thursday morning from Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. Check back for up-to-the-minute live updates all day long.
