Eight teams walked into Sanford Pentagon this past Monday. All but two remain in the DII Women’s Elite Eight. Ashland and Central Missouri are set to face off Friday night at 8 p.m. ET from Sioux Falls, S.D. in the DII Women’s Basketball Championship title game. No. 1 Ashland looks to continue its record-setting streak. The Eagles are looking for win No. 74 in a row, while attempting to complete its second-consecutive undefeated, championship season. Central Missouri is making its first trip to the finals since back-to-back trips in the 1984-85 seasons. The Jennies are the underdogs, but a deep team may be able to slow down Ashland’s high-octane scoring attack.
